I tried my hand at getting a blog going late last season but I found it hard to keep up. Perhaps it’s the feeling of having nothing better to do in the off-season, but I’m ready to give it another go. Writing on a blog as a new season begins will hopefully get some momentum going. In the off-season, I’ve been going on mini-ramblings on Twitter about random Wonderland topics, which is the primary reason for trying the blog thing again.
Toward the end of last season, I started doing “double header” weekends at Wonderland, visiting on both Saturday and Sunday. I used to dread going on Saturdays because of longer lines but I’ve learned to actually like it. The park feels as alive as ever, I don’t feel in a rush to go home to get ready for another workweek, and, being a regular, I’m not really missing anything if I skip rides with lines snaking out of the switchbacks. But anyways, I bring this up because this was one of the reasons why I found it hard to write trip reports… I had no more weekend time to write and I forgot anything interesting that happened by the time I did get some notes down. I’ll have to rethink how I go about writing them this time. Maybe I’ll just do them for special events and only if there’s something note-worthy…
Anyways, thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you back here soon with my Canada’s Wonderland 2017 opening day trip report!
